Manthan Systems Ports ARC Integrated Retail Business Intelligence Solution to Netezza Data Warehouse Appliance
Business Wire, June 19, 2007
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Netezza Corporation, a leading provider of data warehouse appliances, today announced a partnership with Manthan Systems, a leading provider of business intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions for retailers. The combination of the Netezza Performance Server[R] system and Manthan's ARC retail BI suite provides a high-performance business intelligence solution that integrates data from disparate information systems in a centralized, easy-to-access repository, enabling reporting, analysis and collaboration based on common business rules.
ARC is a retail data warehouse and an integrated BI suite specifically architected for retail. As a specialized product exclusively built for retail, ARC dramatically reduces the deployment lifecycle and the total cost of ownership by cutting down the time needed to customize a business intelligence platform to the retail industry's specific needs. ARC's retail data model variants enable various retail analytic formats like fashion & apparel, food & grocery, specialty and mass merchandise.
Anand Sri Ganesh, director of marketing, Manthan Systems, said, "Through this partnership, Manthan and Netezza will further extend our concentrated focus on the retail industry, by bringing a unique value proposition to global retail organizations looking to deploy a high-performance retail business intelligence solution faster and more cost effectively."
"This partnership provides a proven, integrated high-performance BI solution that lets our joint customers put their data to work to gain a more comprehensive view of their business," said Andy Winans, vice president of Retail & CPG at Netezza.
The Netezza Performance Server system is built specifically to analyze terabytes of detailed data 10-100 times faster than existing data warehouse options, at a much lower total cost of ownership. The NPS system stores, filters and processes terabytes of records within a single unit, analyzing only the relevant information for each query, enabling dramatic increases in query performance and productivity that Manthan can leverage for its valued customers.
