Enpocket Powers Hyundai's Mobile Advertising Campaigns
Business Wire, June 19, 2007
BOSTON -- Enpocket, the Intelligent Mobile Marketing(TM) company, today announced that Hyundai has selected the Enpocket Platform to power a multi-faceted mobile advertising program. The innovative program targets a youthful audience and includes mobile advertising on high-reach carrier-grade media, a multimedia mobile Web site, content downloads, and a text messaging campaign.
"We researched the many mobile advertising options available to us and found that Enpocket could help us target and reach more people with high-quality mobile media," said Eric D'Ablaing, Hyundai interactive marketing administrator. "Enpocket was able to quickly deliver a complete mobile program for Hyundai that included cutting edge ad mechanics and complete campaign reporting."
The Enpocket Platform is enabling a variety of post-click ad mechanics that engage consumers interested in Hyundai cars, including:
* Running mobile banner ads promoting Hyundai mobile properties;
* Hosting a Hyundai Veracruz mobile Web site;
* Managing free Hyundai Elantra-sponsored ringtones from emerging artists like the Ataris and Secondhand Serenade;
* Offering MySpace users free ringtones on the Elantra MySpace Web page;
* Running a Hyundai-sponsored text-to-vote campaign during the South by Southwest music and arts festival in Austin, Texas;
* Delivering complete end-to-end reporting on campaign ROI.
Hyundai is building awareness of its mobile programs through mobile banner ads running on the Sprint Mobile Media Network.
The Elantra program has received a 9 percent click through rate on mobile media across a variety of top media properties since launching in March, and Hyundai plans to include more models in its mobile marketing program later in 2007. It has been widely reported that typical click-through rates for mobile advertising average in the 3 percent to 4 percent range. However, response rates to ads running on carrier-grade media, or media run on the mobile Internet portals of the mobile carriers, are often yielding response rates twice as high as other mobile media, like in the case of Hyundai.
"We are pleased to be helping Hyundai reach new customers with an end-to-end mobile experience that includes a variety of interactive features powered by the Enpocket Platform," said Mike Baker, Enpocket president and CEO. "Enpocket is the industry leader in connecting brands with consumers via their mobile phones, and Hyundai is on the forefront in leveraging this burgeoning new channel."
