The Whitmer Family who owns UAB "United Auction Brokers" is making this donation to The American Red Cross as a result of their own personal and business losses due to Hurricane Katrina. The Whitmer family home, the homes of all employees, and the offices and warehouse of UAB were totally destroyed on the morning of August 29, 2005 as Hurricane Katrina came ashore.
