Joins Extensive Library of Business Centers Offering Targeted Business Advice

SAN FRANCISCO -- AllBusiness.com, Inc. (www.allbusiness.com), a leading online resource for businesses, today announced the launch of its new "Restaurant Business Center," which provides tips, expertise, resources and best practices for entrepreneurs seeking information on opening and operating a restaurant, as well as articles, guides and blogs written by experienced and knowledgeable restaurant experts.

The center is edited by veteran chef Kevin McKenzie and restaurant consultant John Foley, and focuses on the best "how-to" restaurant information on the Web. The center covers topics ranging from managing a wait staff to selecting a location to choosing a menu, and features video clips and industry-specific forms and agreements.

"The restaurant industry attracts a lot of entrepreneurial talent, but it's not an easy business and there is an astonishingly high failure rate," says AllBusiness.com CEO Kathy Yates. "Kevin and John have created a resource for restauranteurs to learn strategies, ask questions and discuss issues in our blogs, and replicate successes in a noncompetitive environment. This type of forum is unique to our site and in high-demand by our readers."

"There are many talented chefs in the U.S., but few know how to lease space, hire employees and grow their business," says McKenzie, who has 30 years of restaurant industry experience.

"Most owners often have the feeling that everyone else is running a more successful restaurant," says Foley, who has more than a decade of experience in designing, owning and operating restaurants. "We want to bring some relief by offering tips and advice on how to overcome the daily stress of the business."

The AllBusiness.com Web site provides a vast array of information on all aspects of business management. Over the past several months, AllBusiness has introduced a number of industry-specific centers that focus on specialized information for business operators in the restaurant, medical practice, construction and retail trades. Approximately 10 such centers are being rolled out this year by AllBusiness. Developed in response to reader requests for industry-specific information, the centers are edited by experts in each field and feature proprietary articles as well as a collection of "best of the Web" content.
