Healthpac Selects InterSystems CACHE for Medical Billing Software System
Business Wire, June 20, 2007
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- InterSystems Corporation today announced that Healthpac Computer Systems, Inc., a provider of medical billing software, has become an InterSystems application partner. Healthpac will be using the extensive MultiValue capabilities of InterSystems CACHE[R] high performance object database as the technology foundation for its H2003 medical billing software application.
InterSystems is a leading provider of innovative database and integration software. Its product line includes the InterSystems CACHE high performance object database, InterSystems Ensemble[R] rapid integration platform, and InterSystems HealthShare[TM] platform for regional and national electronic health records. Healthpac develops and markets comprehensive, easily customizable medical billing software for a customer base that includes more than 1700 users in 43 states.
"We're currently targeting a growing number of large medical enterprises," said Healthpac President B. D. "Buddy" Claborn. "Success here demands rapid, seamless data delivery as well as smooth connectivity with today's standard software tools. After evaluating a variety of database products offering MultiValue technology, it was evident that InterSystems has the financial stability we were looking for in a partner and the advanced technology we need to pursue our business strategy. InterSystems CACHE has a long track record of delivering the speed and scalability that is critical for success in the enterprise market."
CACHE has innovative web technology that offers easy access to advanced software tools in a database platform that will enable Healthpac to execute its development strategy of offering web-based applications in the future. "We're in the process of migrating an early user to our CACHE-based product and it's clear that our technology decision was the right one. We've taken the first steps in what I expect to be a long and successful partnership," Claborn said.
"InterSystems is well aware of the challenges facing the MultiValue development community and we are providing the database technology needed to successfully address their requirements," said Paul Grabscheid, InterSystems Vice President of Strategic Planning. "We're very pleased to be partnering with Healthpac and welcome the opportunity to work with other MultiValue application providers."
