UltraBenefits, Inc. is Latest to Switch to Innovative Benefits-Reporting Program

PHOENIX -- MphasiS Healthcare Solutions (MHS), a provider of health benefit management and business process outsourcing (BPO) services to healthcare payers, today announced that UltraBenefits, Inc., will use the JackRabbit Report Server to generate real-time reports through the MHS health benefits management (HEALTHpac) and customer service (CSIpac) systems.

JackRabbit allows users to perform automated production reporting enhanced by robust security features and multiple output formats, including Word, Excel, RTF and PDF. Individuals (such as those who work for third-party administrators on behalf of corporate benefit-plan sponsors) can schedule the reports to run at predetermined time intervals, drawing on information that is current to within one hour, and do so via the web.

"The ability to customize reports for our clients is extremely important to us," says Jim Bushey, vice president of marketing for UltraBenefits, a third-party administrator based in Worcester, Mass. "With JackRabbit, we can take standard benefits reports, make queries, and highlight specific data according to what our clients want to know.

"The application's flexibility is really impressive," he continued. "JackRabbit can translate data into different file formats, such as Excel spreadsheet, Rich Text Format and PDF, before we forward the reports to our clients. This kind of easy data manipulation is an advancement from the way we used to generate reports from the HEALTHpac database."

UltraBenefits has opted for the following JackRabbit options:

* JackRabbit HP - HEALTHpac eReports

* JackRabbit HP Query - ad hoc access to key HEALTHpac data

JackRabbit features a dedicated report server with multiple levels of subscription-based report solutions. The application contains more than 130 report samples -- templates that managers can quickly adapt for their reporting needs -- freeing them to focus on higher priority projects. Furthermore, the intuitive interface allows users to preview the report before publishing, which is a key step in avoiding time-consuming revisions.

Clients with a web browser can access the report server at any time and from any location. The report server has an advanced scheduler available, and will email the client when report results are ready for review. Aside from Excel, the client can then download the results as rich text (RTF) or PDF documents.
