CEO Panel Explores "Private Aviation Models That Work"

SAN CARLOS, Calif. -- Last week at Esther Dyson's Flight School, XOJET's president and CEO Paul Touw showcased how his company has redefined the private aviation business model to set a breakthrough new value and service standard in private jet travel.

Now in its third year, Flight School brings together aviation and space entrepreneurs and the venture capitalists that fund them to explore emerging strategies, experiences and opportunities. Touw spoke on a panel that focused on "Private Aviation Models that are Working." The discussion, moderated by Dyson, focused on what current successful operators such as XOJET are doing to succeed.

Touw highlighted the ways in which XOJET has departed from traditional private aviation practices to create an innovative new business model for private jet ownership. He detailed the company's modern approach to economics, aircraft, service, maintenance, safety and culture, and shared success metrics that are proving out XOJET's strategy including:

* Customer demand is extremely high; XOJET has completed more than 10,000 customer flight hours in the last 12 months

* XOJET has solved the empty leg and deadhead dilemma; the company achieves greater than 95 percent revenue earning legs vs. the industry standard of 65 to 70 percent

* XOJET's reliability is close to perfect; the company has established a track record of greater than 99.5 percent on time departure

* XOJET is the most economical way to own a jet; the company's ownership model is proving to be 40 percent less expensive than jet cards, 33 percent less expensive than fractional solutions and 20 percent less than traditional ownership
