Sentinel RMS enables Celin to maintain control of intellectual property and revenue streams
BALTIMORE -- SafeNet, Inc., a global leader in information security, announced today that Celin, a world leading developer of biometric security solutions, has selected SafeNet's Sentinel RMS to license their facial recognition system MORPHEUS.
Celin sought to protect its proprietary technology from piracy and reverse engineering, as well as offer flexible license models to customers. After comprehensive evaluation of various competing software rights management solutions, Celin chose SafeNet's Sentinel RMS for its superior level of security as well as completeness and flexibility.
"In addition to finding Sentinel RMS to be the best technology for our needs, we preferred working with SafeNet due to their responsiveness and outstanding customer care," said Fabio Mazza, managing director, Celin. "We also recognized that SafeNet has been a leader in software protection technology for many years and we are confident in the quality of the product and level of support we will receive from this industry-leading provider."
Celin provides biometric solutions that are deployed to secure access to critical identification points such as ATMs or immigration checkpoints. MORPHEUS is a face recognition system that uses information extracted from the detection of facial features to differentiate people in various environments. Celin plans to offer a variety of license models including trial, time-limited, and machine-locked licenses that will all be generated and managed by Sentinel RMS.
"With Sentinel RMS, Celin is taking control of its intellectual property and revenue. In addition to reducing the risk of piracy, Celin is now able to easily offer a variety of flexible license models to customers," said Gary Clark, vice president, EMEA, SafeNet. "Embedding Sentinel RMS has enabled Celin to benefit from comprehensive license management, while concentrating on their core business of providing industry-leading biometric solutions."
