Netage Group, Inc. Announces Start of International Distribution of Investor Relations News and Sales Partnership Between @Press, Inc. and Business Wire Japan
Business Wire, June 28, 2007
TOKYO -- Netage Group, Inc. (TOKYO:2497; CEO: Satoshi Koike) announced it would translate major investor relations news from among the information distributed via timely disclosure into English and Chinese, and distribute this information internationally through Business Wire Japan (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Country Manager: Akio Kobayashi).
In addition, Netage Group's consolidated subsidiary, @Press, Inc. (Meguro-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President: Eiichi Matsumoto; "@Press") has formed a sales partnership with Business Wire Japan and will provide the international distribution of corporate press releases as announced below.
Press Release
1. Netage Group to begin international distribution of investor relations news
The number of foreign investors in the Japanese markets has dramatically increased in recent years, and the ratio of stock held by foreign investors for FY 2006 for the Tokyo Stock Exchange and other markets (with the exception of the JASDAQ market), as announced on June 15, 2007, rose 1.3 point to 28%.
However, the majority of timely disclosure information, investor relations news, and press releases provided by Japan-based listed companies are only in Japanese and target domestic investors.
Amid this situation, Netage Group has decided to distribute major investor relations news and other timely disclosure information in Japanese as well as internationally in English and Chinese, with the goal of strengthening its information dissemination to foreign investors and the international media as it pursues new innovations on a global scale as part of its corporate strategy and continues its efforts to expand overseas, focusing on other parts of Asia.
To meet its international news distribution needs, Netage Group will work with Business Wire Japan, the Japanese bureau of U.S.-based Business Wire, which has over 45-years experience in the global media market, distributing news and information to 150 countries around the world, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, which is owned by renowned investor Warren Buffet.
2. Partnership between Business Wire Japan and @Press
Netage Group's consolidated subsidiary, @Press, is one of Japan's largest press release distributors.
As part of the Netage corporate group, @Press will provide global distribution of investor relations news in English and Chinese, and it will partner with Business Wire Japan to provide services for the global distribution of news releases in multiple languages for companies interested in delivering news and information to international markets beginning on July 9.
3. Future outlook
The effect of this on Netage Group's consolidated performance for the current fiscal year will be minimal.
