Duplicate Payment Solution is Now Operating in Windows, Linux, and UNIX Operating Environments

MANCHESTER, Vt. -- CONIX Systems Inc., a leading international provider of payment processing solutions to the financial services industry, announced today that Dupe Detective[TM], a solution designed to protect both financial institutions and customer accounts from double postings of payments, is now available in an Oracle database environment. With this capability, Dupe Detective is able to operate in Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating environments.

Dupe Detective eliminates the same item from being sent or received multiple times for collection. With the solution in place, financial institutions have the ability to eliminate duplicates across a statement cycle, regardless of the payment source, and, based on the data provided, impose fees on institutions that send excessive duplicate items. Implementation of Dupe Detective also results in reduced processing costs, increased profit, improved operational efficiencies, and workflow flexibility.

Built with .NET technology, Dupe Detective is designed to be flexible in nature. Because this solution is now able to run Oracle and Microsoft database options, it can operate in essentially any environment, on a mainframe or a server. Financial institutions now have greater flexibility to use the technology of their choice and experience a greater return on their investment.

With this flexibility, Dupe Detective is able to balance the workload by splitting up various programs between the financial institution's mainframe and server, eliminating the need for additional hardware costs. Dupe Detective is designed to meet the needs of any size financial institution and can accommodate a growing portfolio of payments.

"By anticipating the needs of the financial services industry, we at CONIX Systems can develop and offer the best technology solutions to meet the needs of our customers, while enabling them to operate more efficiently, cost effectively, and competitively in today's environment," said Frank Stokes, president, Technology Group for CONIX Systems. "Our Dupe Detective solution is an example of our foresight in the payments arena. Enabling the system to run in virtually any environment eliminates the need for financial institutions to acquire additional costly mainframes and servers to run multiple applications at once. As the duplicate payment issue continues to permeate the financial services industry, Dupe Detective not only addresses the issue of removing duplicate postings but also assists financial institutions with fraud prevention and operational accidents, making it a valuable anti-fraud system."
