InnerWorkings' Resources Enable Peapod to Achieve Marketing Success
Business Wire, June 28, 2007
CHICAGO -- InnerWorkings, Inc. (Nasdaq:INWK), a leading provider of print procurement solutions to corporate clients in the United States, recently worked with Internet grocer Peapod to launch its largest direct mail effort to date.
The direct mail campaign offered discounts on services to customers through the use of promotional codes, which customers could redeem online. The mailer was sent to more than one million households in the Chicago, Milwaukee and New England markets.
In addition to direct mail, InnerWorkings also handles the management and procurement of brochures, promotional products and gift certificates for Peapod.
"This is one of our biggest marketing wins to date," said Andrew Parkinson, Founder and President of Peapod. "By working with InnerWorkings, we have been able to mail as many as four million direct mail pieces each year, reaching more consumers for as much as 30 percent less in print and mail expenses, and as a result we have been able to dramatically extend our marketing budget."
"InnerWorkings was able to leverage its proprietary database of suppliers to offer Peapod a significant discount compared to its traditional print costs," stated Steven E. Zuccarini, Chief Executive Officer of InnerWorkings. "This is a huge win for Peapod and a victory for InnerWorkings as well."
