Actelis Networks Appoints Mehmet Balos to President of Worldwide Marketing, Sales and Services
Business Wire, June 4, 2007
FREMONT, Calif. -- Actelis Networks[R], the leading global supplier of Carrier Ethernet over Copper[TM] solutions, today announced that Mehmet Balos has been appointed to President of Worldwide Marketing, Sales and Services. Balos, a longtime telecom industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, joined Actelis a year ago as President of Americas and Chief Marketing Officer.
"This is a significant time in the history of our company, so it's critical our senior management team is lead by a seasoned veteran of Mehmet's caliber," said Tuvia Barlev, president and CEO of Silicon Valley-based Actelis Networks. "I made this appointment on behalf of our valued customers who deserve strong leadership across every organization of the company. Mehmet's vast experience in the telecom industry has significantly impacted our ability to reach new customers throughout the world."
Under Balos' direction, the company recently kicked off a national campaign to support its growing ILEC customer base in the states. The campaign promotes Actelis' XR239 EFM Repeaters, which enable independent local exchange carriers to deliver advanced broadband data services with fiber-like performance over their existing copper networks to residential and business subscribers who traditionally have been beyond their reach.
To date, Actelis Networks has amassed more than 100 customers worldwide, including regional Bells, independent and competitive local exchange carriers, as well as Asian, European, and Latin American-based PTTs and alternative carriers.
