Antenna AMPower([TM] )Mobile Application on RIM([R]) BlackBerry Smartphones Delivers Improved Communications with Irish Retailers
JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Antenna Software, Inc., the leader in mobile enterprise technologies and solutions, has announced that Heineken Ireland has deployed a mobile merchandising application to its retail off-trade partners - believed to be one of the first in the country. The Antenna AMPower([TM]) mobile merchandising application is deployed on RIM([R]) BlackBerry smartphones across the O2 network and leverages Heineken's Siebel CRM system.
Changing lifestyles, coupled with legislation regarding smoking in pubs and a clampdown on drinking and driving, has resulted in a growth in its off-trade business as greater numbers of customers prefer to drink at home. Heineken Ireland recognized the potential for enhancing its communications with its merchandising team by replicating the success of its mobile field service application, Antenna AMPower([TM]) Service (formerly known as Antenna A3) that has been fully deployed to Draught Service Representatives throughout the country. Working in partnership with Heineken Ireland, RIM and O2, Antenna Software developed a mobile application that provides merchandisers up-to-date account information, journey plans to retail outlets and other important account information, for example, expected products, their positioning and number of facings.
Armed with this information, merchandisers are able to audit product facings and measure that retailers have complied with merchandising agreements and send data back to the office instantly. The Antenna mobile merchandising application integrates seamlessly with Siebel CRM system at Heineken Ireland, so that merchandisers can update the enterprise system directly from their BlackBerry devices.
"Merchandisers are key people in our off trade business," explains Martin Gowran, IT Project Manager, Heineken Ireland. "By providing them with the AMPower application on a BlackBerry during their store visits, we are enabling them to easily audit our product presence and positioning, enabling us to monitor agreements with customers and also sell more beer".
"By expanding its use of Antenna mobile solutions to both sales and service arms of the organization, Heineken is generating maximum return from its CRM investment", commented Jim Hemmer, president and CEO, Antenna Software. "Now all customer-facing representatives have just the right information at their fingertips, enabling Heineken to be more agile and competitive in a very tight market."
