National Fuel Announces 105 Years of Uninterrupted Dividend Payments and 37 Consecutive Years of Increases

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -- The Board of Directors of National Fuel Gas Company (NYSE: NFG) ("National Fuel" or "Company") today approved a 3.3 percent increase in the dividend on the Company's common stock, raising the quarterly rate from 30 cents per share as approved in June 2006 to 31 cents per share, for an annual rate of $1.24 per share. This action marks the 105th year of uninterrupted dividend payments and the 37th consecutive year that National Fuel has increased its dividend.

Philip C. Ackerman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of National Fuel, said, "We are pleased to announce another consecutive increase to the Company's dividend. The dividend is payable July 16, 2007, to shareholders of record at the close of business on June 29, 2007. The Company has approximately 83.5 million shares of common stock outstanding. It has no preferred stock outstanding.
