HR Thought Leaders will Share Strategies and Tactics for Strategic Talent Investment, Building Global Talent Pipelines, and Driving Innovation throughout Organizations

WASHINGTON -- Building global talent pipelines, creating more innovative organizations, meeting demands for greater accountability and return on investment in talent, leading large-scale change initiatives - these are some of the forces that are transforming HR practice in the 21st century.

The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the leading organization for HR professionals, and Harvard Business School Publishing (HBSP), the premier source for management practices, programs, and content for leading organizations, are collaborating to produce a ground-breaking program to address the most critical challenges facing senior HR executives.

Called The Executive HR Network, the program will bring together select groups of forward-thinking HR leaders at events in Dallas (April 5), San Francisco (April 18), Boston (July 18), and Washington (September 20) during 2007. These programs will feature leading researchers from Harvard, Yale, USC's Marshall School of Business, London Business School, and other institutions as well as executives from top global companies for intensive, interactive discussions of emerging trends and best practices.

"The HR profession is more fast-paced than ever and is changing is unprecedented ways," said Barbara Sadek, SHRM's director of education. "We believe that this program will help senior HR leaders successfully navigate their new challenges successfully."

Eric McNulty, managing director for conferences at HBSP, commented, "We're gathering the thought leaders in talent management and human capital - Amy Edmondson and Julie Battilana of Harvard Business School, John Boudreau and Ed Lawler of the Marshall School at USC, Gareth Jones of London Business School and INSEAD, James Baron of Yale, and Warren Wilhelm of Thunderbird - to this program. The participants will be setting the agenda for HR in their organizations."

The Executive HR Network is open only to senior HR professionals. Applications and information for the program can be found at www.shrm.org/exechr.
