Exact Software Announces Availability of Exact e-Synergy Release 370

Upgrades to Web-based Business Management Solution Enhance Workflow and Human Resource Management, Increase Information Access

Exact e-Synergy 370 includes a number of new features and enhancements designed to improve workflow and human resource management, while increasing information access throughout the enterprise.

Exact has introduced workflow-related enhancements with e-Synergy 370 that improve the ability of mid-market organizations to streamline and manage their business processes. Building upon Exact e-Synergy's existing workflow-to-workflow feature, Release 370 enables the creation of process flows consisting of multiple request types. Users can predefine a process flow template that includes the necessary request types and each respective status. As each request is realized, the following request in the process is automatically initiated, ensuring that critical business processes are completed efficiently and in a timely manner. Moreover, all workflows, from simple tasks to more complex, multi-step processes, remain visible with Exact e-Synergy, helping to increase accountability and performance across the organization.

Release 370 also includes a number of features and enhancements that bolster e-Synergy's human resources management (HRM) capabilities. A new intelligent process flow management feature automatically alerts HR personnel when certain activities occur within the system. Users can define their preferred alert method, and once they receive the alerts, can then plan the necessary actions to be taken. In addition, greater flexibility has been built into Exact e-Synergy's competency management system. Organizations can create as many competencies as desired as well as almost any type of scale to measure and manage those competencies. At the same time, Exact e-Synergy supports almost any competency management system on the market.

With Release 370, Exact has also introduced a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) aggregator, which allows users convenient access to syndicated content from the Internet. Users can subscribe to news feeds via the RSS aggregator, define the frequency of how often the feeds are retrieved, and then easily view and access this content via the Exact e-Synergy homepage. Reducing the time users spend browsing popular news sites, the RSS aggregator automatically pushes timely, relevant content directly to their screens, helping to make the e-Synergy homepage the single source of information required by employees throughout the organization.

Additional features and enhancements in Exact e-Synergy 370 include:

* The ability to automatically email any document within e-Synergy, while also being able to select intended recipients from accounts or resources within the system.

* A multiple request capability, which enables users to locate resources in e-Synergy and then quickly generate a request with the list of resources automatically filled in.

* The option to automatically update the contact manager when changes are made to the account manager. The update option is available on all account cards within e-Synergy, including associates, prospects, customers, suppliers, resellers, division, bank, not validated and leads.
