New Aspirin Test Targets Global Heart Disease Prevention Market

DENVER -- Corgenix Medical Corporation (OTC BB: CONX), a worldwide developer and marketer of diagnostic test kits, will be exhibiting at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) 2007. In addition to information about its extensive line of diagnostic kits, Corgenix will be presenting information about its AspirinWorks([R]) Test Kit.

The AspirinWorks([R]) Test Kit is an enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) that determines levels of 11-Dehydro Thromboxane B2 (11dhTxB2) in human urine, which aids in determining if aspirin is eliciting an effect. Unlike other tests for aspirin resistance, which require freshly drawn blood that must be evaluated within at least 4 hours, the Corgenix AspirinWorks([R]) test requires a urine sample and is not predisposed to variables associated with blood sample draw and handling. The kit is the Company's newest cardiac diagnostic product and is awaiting FDA clearance. It is not currently available for in vitro diagnostic use in the United States.

The AspirinWorks([R]) product was developed in conjunction with Corgenix's strategic partner Cayman Chemical Company (Cayman), an Ann Arbor, Michigan manufacturer of biochemical research products. The kit is CE Marked for sale in Europe and was launched internationally at the 52nd Annual Scientific and Standardization Committee of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis held in Oslo, Norway. The test will address a significant segment of the global population that may be non-responsive to aspirin's benefits.

Corgenix previously announced collaboration with McMaster University (McMaster), Hamilton, Ontario, for McMaster's proprietary technology for aspirin therapy testing. The McMaster technology includes one U.S. issued patent as well as several patents pending in the United States, Canada and Europe. In addition to licensing the McMaster technology, Corgenix has a U.S. patent pending on the AspirinWorks([R]) product.
