Leading Investors Will Share Latest Investment Strategies, Market Predictions and Best Stock Picks at 2007 Value Investing Congress West

LOS ANGELES -- Following last year's immensely successful inaugural Value Investing Congress West in Los Angeles, Schwartz-Tilson Information, Inc. today announced that it will host the second annual Value Investing Congress West on May 8th & 9th, 2007.

The Congress, which will be held at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, promises another impressive lineup of speakers and presentations on value-oriented investment strategies. Also scheduled earlier in the week are two pre-Congress workshops designed to help investors build their investing skills.

The Value Investing Congress West is the platform of choice for today's best known value investors to share their investing philosophy, discuss recent market trends and share their current favorite stock picks. There will also be ample time for attendees to ask questions of every speaker.

At last year's Congress, several prominent investors shared investment ideas that yielded big profits for those who attended. The upcoming Congress will feature some of the most popular speakers from last year, plus many fresh new voices with outstanding long-term investment track records.

The complete speaking lineup at the 2007 Value Investing Congress West includes:

* Robert Hagstrom, Legg Mason Capital Management

* Thomas Russo, Gardner Russo & Gardner

* Mohnish Pabrai, Pabrai Investment Funds

* Steven Romick, First Pacific Advisors

* Carlo Cannell, Cannell Capital

* Whitney Tilson, T2 Partners & Value Investor Insight

* Mark Sellers, Sellers Capital Fund

* Wally Weitz, Weitz Funds

* Michael McConnell, Shamrock Capital Advisors

* Lance Helfert and Atticus Lowe, West Coast Asset Management

* Zeke Ashton, Centaur Capital Partners

* Douglas W. Grey, Saddle Peak Asset Management

* Bill Vlahos, Odyssey Value Advisors

* Glenn Tongue, T2 Partners

On the day before the Congress, Monday, May 7th, there will be two workshops: Whitney Tilson and Glenn Tongue will teach a full day Advanced Seminar on Value Investing where participants will learn how to decipher financial statements, avoid value traps and pick investment winners.

On the same day, noted financial analysts Bob Dickie and Ray Wilson will teach an intensive one-day forensic accounting seminar, Financial Statement Investigation: Uncovering Anomalies to Avoid Deception and Earn Profits, which will examine the uses and misuses of financial statement data and SEC filings for a wide range of investing decisions. This seminar will help investors utilize the most up-to-date investigative techniques to uncover investments that should be avoided and identify profit opportunities on the short side.

"Value investing strategies provide the best long-term returns of any investing approach, a reminder that is especially timely given the current volatility of the market," said Whitney Tilson, who is the co-founder of the Value Investing Congress, the founder of hedge fund firm T2 Partners, and also a regular columnist for the Financial Times. "If anyone knows where to find the best bargains in today's market, it's the lineup we've put together for Los Angeles."

"The Value Investing Congress West is specifically designed to cater to serious, successful, value-oriented investors. It is strategically scheduled between two of the high points of the year for value investors, the Berkshire Hathaway and Wesco annual meetings," said Value Investing Congress co-founder John L. Schwartz, MD. "In fact, the Value Investing Congress has made arrangements for participants to attend the Wesco meeting, immediately following the Congress so that they can learn from investing legend Charlie Munger, Warren Buffett's partner for almost half a century."

Whitney Tilson and John L. Schwartz established the Value Investing Congress so that those who are passionate about value investing - the disciples of Graham, Dodd, Buffett and Munger - can meet and learn from one another and achieve even greater investment success. Tilson is one of the country's best known value investors and is the co-founder of Value Investor Insight. Schwartz is the founder and former CEO of Continuing Medical Education, Inc., the highly successful medical information company.
