Business Wire, March 22, 2007
Company Recognized for Its Work with the Royal Bank of Scotland
NEW YORK & LONDON -- Entuity, Inc., a leading provider of solutions for network service management and the global developer of the Eye of the Storm[R] (EYE) software suite, today announced that last evening in central London they received Network Computing's 'Network Project of the Year' award for its involvement with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Network Management Programme. This is an editor's choice award and was therefore selected directly by the publication's editorial team.
The winning RBS Network Management Programme was designed to serve the strategic needs of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBSG) brought about by dramatic organic growth and acquisition of recent years. The new platform gives RBSG the ability to continue to grow their business in an operationally efficient way, ensuring scalability for even far more future transactions without a corresponding step-up in cost. The success of the program has been a result of the combined efforts of Entuity, Cisco and IBM Global Services (GS). Each supplier brought their own area of expertise to the project:
* Entuity provided the network management solution which ensures the infrastructure is optimally deployed and performing efficiently;
* Cisco's technology automates the infrastructures lifecycle management and increases operational efficiency; and
* IBM GS acted as the IT solution provider and integrator to architect and deploy the overall management structure.
Thousands of new network devices have been put into service at locations across England, serving thousands of branch offices. A configuration issue with any of these devices could result in service interruptions that would impact customer transactions or bank business. The network management solution was proactively identified hundreds of configuration conflicts, enabling implementation personnel to resolve them before being put into service. The result was the introduction of the new infrastructure with no negative impact on customer service.
Michael Jannery, president and CEO of Entuity, said, "We set out to help our customer solve a strategic business challenge. Receiving this industry recognition is testament to the hard work and collaboration that went into making this program a success. We have developed excellent relationships with all parties involved, to great effect, and we are delighted to share in this acknowledgment."
The Network Computing Awards are run annually and are designed to recognize and reward industry leading individuals and organizations.
