Business Wire, March 23, 2007

LOS ANGELES -- On behalf of G'Day USA founding sponsors Qantas Airways, Tourism Australia, Australian Consulate and Australian Foreign Trade Commission, Qantas Airways Senior Executive Vice President, The Americas and Pacific, Wally R. Mariani, presented a US$95,000 (AU$115,000) check to English-born Australian pop singer and actress, Olivia Newton-John to benefit the cancer charity she founded.

The G'Day USA: Australia Week committee made the donation to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre at Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, to thank her for her ongoing commitment to Australia Week. Newton-John graciously agreed to a complimentary performance for a sold-out crowd of nearly 800 guests and dignitaries at the Penfold's American Australian Association Black Tie Gala in New York City during this year's events. Celebrating all things Australian, G'Day USA: Australia Week is now in its fourth successful year, and for the first time, held in both Los Angeles and New York City. This year's events continued to achieve tremendous publicity with involvement by Australian celebrities including Olivia Newton-John, Terri and Bindi Irwin and Russell Crowe.
