DALLAS -- The Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) announces that it will host the second annual Beyond Borders International Marketing Conference and Trade Fair on April 18, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, TX. This educational event will provide business owners and managers, marketers, communications professionals and other leaders with insights and "how-to" advice on aspects of international expansions.
"The key advantage to attending Beyond Borders is the opportunity to hear from nationally known speakers from Fortune 500 firms who are willing to share their first-hand knowledge and expertise on what companies need to do to be successful when entering international markets," said Jim Dawson, president, DFW AMA. "And, with exports from North Texas increasing more than 67% in the past six years, exceeding $50 billion annually, combined with favorable exchange rates in Europe and elsewhere, the potential for growth through expansion is a tremendous opportunity for businesses here and beyond."
Among the program topics to be discussed are:
* How to Expand Your Brand and Business Internationally
* Marketing Mistakes to Avoid When Going Global
* Marketing's Impact on Operations
* Conducting International Business On-Line
* Creating Overseas Distribution Networks
In addition to keynote and lecture-style presentations, a series of educational roundtables designed to accommodate 6 to 10 participants at once will allow attendees to get immediate and direct answers to their individual concerns.
In addition, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and other international experts will have booths to provide detailed information to attendees.
Special "early-bird" registration rates of $150 for AMA members, $175 for non-members and $95 for students are available through March 31. From April 1, rates are $175 for AMA members, $200 for non-members and $125 for students. Information and registration details are available at www.dfwama.com (click on Beyond Borders tab) or by calling the AMA at (972) 943-4615.
