Business Wire, March 27, 2007
RENO, NV -- Martin Nutraceuticals Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MNCL.PK) is pleased to announce that it entered into negotiations with JPS Trading Co., a company focused on distribution of supplements and natural products in Australia.
JPS Trading Co. will represent all of Martin's flagship products, Arthrizyme, Oxygenol and Maximum Slim, and will also represent Dr. Martin's book, Medical Crisis - Secrets Your Doctor Won't Share With You. The marketing strategy by JPS will focus on mass distribution of Martin's flagship ingestible products into major retail and supplement centers. The strategy of marketing of the book will follow the North American model and will be sold through a direct sales DRTV (infomercial) campaign.
"This could be a fantastic opportunity for Martin Nutraceuticals," states Harvey Panesar, President of Martin Nutraceuticals Inc., "We are very excited about the possibilities of entering the Australian market, which is an absolute bonus since we have been focusing on getting our infomercial/DRTV campaign to air in North America. We were not actively searching for other markets outside of North America, but when this opportunity arose, we could not turn it down - it just made sense to at least explore where it could lead."
The Australian market size for nutraceuticals has been consistently rising over the last few years. The current market size for nutraceuticals in Australia has exceeded over $900 million; largely due in part to 60% of the Australian population currently using a nutraceutical product, which equivocates to 7.5 million Australian consumers.
