Corillian Tops Celent's Retail Internet Banking Report for Second Time in a Row
Business Wire, March 28, 2007
Across All Four Categories, Corillian Stands out as the Clear Leader
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Corillian Corp. (NASDAQ:CORI), the top provider of online banking, payment and security solutions to the financial services industry, today announced it has once again been singled out by Celent LLC., a leading financial services IT and strategy research firm.
In a February 2007 report entitled "Retail Internet Banking Vendors: Luring the Laggards," Celent examines the current state of online banking and grades and profiles nine vendors for their ability to offer applications that ultimately help increase online banking penetration and generate higher retention. In every category, Advanced technology, Breadth of functionality, Customer base and Depth of services, Corillian emerged as the clear leader.
The Celent report ranks Corillian ahead of all other vendors in categories measuring:
* the level of technological sophistication and flexibility
* the ability to meet the needs of a bank's online clients and differentiate its offering
* their level of understanding of bank client needs
* the quality of support and professional services
* the ability to assist a bank in maximizing the use and utility of the online channel
"Corillian continues to lead the industry in performance, feature/functionality and depth and breadth of services," said Dan Schatt, senior analyst in Celent's retail banking group and co-author of the report. "Over half of Corillian's new customers in the last year have taken the company's PFM module in addition to its payment warehouse. This can allow an institution to bring together money movement, PFM, and online banking capabilities in a highly customized way. After 10 years of innovative work in the industry, Corillian customers have come to expect them to push the envelope on its services and continually enhance the customer experience."
This is the second time in a row Corillian has been recognized by Celent as the top retail internet banking provider. Celent's last review of online banking vendors was in April 2005. This recognition also closely follows Celent's February 2007 analysis of online small business banking providers, "High Tech Keys to Small Business Banking: Upgrading the Online Channel," in which Corillian was identified as the leader in small business banking.
"We are very pleased that Celent's report acknowledges our leadership in Retail Internet Banking," said Alex Hart, president and CEO of Corillian. "This report affirms that we have been successful in delivering on our commitment to provide the best services and solutions for financial institutions and those they serve. These best practices translate to greater flexibility and retention for financial institutions, and combined with our newly announced Member Advantage ASP offering, we are able to bring these industry-leading solutions to a greater number of financial institutions."
