Tridion Receives "Positive" Rating in Leading Analyst Firm's Report on Web Content Management Vendors
Business Wire, March 6, 2007
NEW YORK -- Tridion, a leading global provider of web content management (WCM) software solutions, today announced that it has received a "Positive"" rating for Web Content Management from leading industry analyst firm, Gartner, Inc. 14 vendors were evaluated in Gartner's "MarketScope for Web Content Management, 2007"1.
Referring to the WCM market, the report cites: "the technology is becoming interesting again, and the sector is enjoying double-digit growth. WCM specialists, and the WCM leaders among ECM vendors, have adopted a Web-facing application/solution strategy to differentiate WCM from other parts of the ECM suite. They are focusing their development and marketing of front-end functions such as deployment, site management, analytics and personalization." The report also notes that, "Increasingly, however, "user" means the Web-site visitor, the content's ultimate audience. And with that user now a participant as well as a reader, business units are looking to their WCM systems to enable high level external processes such as marketing, customer support and relationship management on external sites internal processes like training, collaboration and employee self-service, and Web-centric processes such as advertisement insertion and search engine optimization."
"We think Gartner's Positive rating of Tridion validates the impressive growth and momentum we have achieved as a company in the last year, from the establishment of our US headquarters in New York to the addition of many high profile brands to our customer roster, said Erik Aeyelts Averink, President Products & Solutions, of Tridion. "We believe our focus on enabling organizations to deliver consistent, interactive and highly targeted customer experiences in multiple languages across multiple Web sites and channels is very much in line with the key market trends outlined by Gartner in the report."
Gartner gives a "Positive" rating to a company that "is strong in multiple areas, and is large enough to sustain a strategy for growth across a substantial market domain," and states that "Potential customers should shortlist the vendor to meet their specific needs."
