Arkados To Demonstrate Whole-House Music From iPod [R] as Part of Homeplug Exhibition
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Arkados (OTC BB: AKDS), "the HomePlug([R]) Applications Company," announced today that its President and CEO, Oleg Logvinov, will participate in a panel discussion at Connections[TM]: The Digital Living Conference & Showcase. The panel, "Enabling Connected Digital Lifestyles," will convene at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, May 3, 2007 in the Grand Ballroom CD of the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. This is a Special Session of the Conference hosted by the HomePlug Powerline Alliance.
"This panel will discuss the evolution of powerline technology, its current use by major blue-chip companies in a variety of consumer applications, and what the future has in store for this exciting technology," said Logvinov, who also serves as Chief Strategy Officer for the HomePlug Powerline Alliance. Joining Logvinov on the panel will be executives from Texas Instruments, Inc., Intel Corp., Current Technologies, and Intellon Corporation. The session will be moderated by Kurt Scherf, VP and Principal Analyst at Park Associates, who tracks home networks, residential gateways, digital entertainment, technology development in the housing market and residential and building management and controls.
The event will offer a HomePlug Alliance "State of the Industry" update and forecast and a review of recent milestones, including impressive membership growth and global technology adoption. It will also provide insight regarding Intel's plans to integrate HomePlug technology into their mainstream platform in 2008. Also, individual member companies of the HomePlug Alliance will provide company specific news about their growth and their new products.
Arkados will also join with other HomePlug members to display current solutions that incorporate HomePlug technology. The Arkados demonstration of how whole-house music can be created from a single iPod dock is evidence of how Arkados solutions broaden the applications of HomePlug technology from simple networking and web-surfing into the realm of multimedia consumer electronics.
