SOA Product Adoption Fuels Voxware Record Earnings, 172% Increase in Software License Revenue
Business Wire, May 1, 2007
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -- Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, has posted record earnings and strong increases in both total revenue and software license revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Voxware's unaudited financial statements for the quarter ended March 31, 2007, can be found in its Form 10-QSB filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 1, 2007.
Scott Yetter, President of Voxware, said, "Over a year ago Voxware delivered the first open, SOA-based voice software product for the warehouse. We are now releasing Voxware 3.0, the third generation of our standards-based voice software, giving our customers unprecedented independence, flexibility and control. While some voice vendors with proprietary solutions are now trying to jump on the SOA bandwagon, we are most pleased by the response from new customers, existing customers and partners. In our most recent quarter, total revenues were up 79%, with a 172% increase in software license revenue when compared to the same quarter of 2006."
Pat Haray, Warehouse Manager at Eastern Bag & Paper Group noted, "Voxware delivered a quick solution, and this was the smoothest software implementation in the 20 years I've been with the company. We were up and running at 100% of standard within four weeks, and started to see a reduction in our errors." Jack Jurkowski, Eastern Bag's Chief Information Officer, added, "Voxware delivered a solution that has increased our order picking accuracy and reduced the time required for each warehouse worker to pick their orders. An added bonus is that Voxware's multiple language capability allows the worker to perform all aspects of their job using the language with which they are most comfortable. From the IT perspective, Voxware interfaced easily with our enterprise IBM I-series based application, requiring a minimum of implementation time."
Voxware 3.0 strengthens Voxware's leadership position by delivering breakthrough in addition to the process improvements provided by voice. Voxware 3.0 makes voice technology highly responsive to the rapidly evolving business needs of logistics operations. Customers and solution providers tap this power through three key features:
* Express Startup - Voxware 3.0 is the only voice solution offering implementation in days instead of months via user-based configuration instead of programming or code generation.
* Onsite Adaptability - Voxware 3.0 is the first solution that empowers customers to independently change or extend voice workflows.
* Open Flexibility - Voxware 3.0 is the only standards-based, plug-n-play voice solution for today's supply chain that enables customers to choose voice devices from the world's leading suppliers, such as Motorola and LXE.
"You hear a lot of claims about SOA offerings these days, but most products cannot actually deliver the benefits promised by SOA," Yetter stated. "With Voxware 3.0 we are pleased not only to once again be the first to introduce a new generation of voice technology for the supply chain, but also to extend our record of leveraging modern IT standards in a way that dramatically reduces cost for our customers when compared to alternative solutions."
Voxware's latest product developments will be unveiled at DC/Expo, May 24-27 at Navy Pier, Chicago, and Voxware's vice president of software engineering, Krishna Venkatasamy, will speak about open, SOA-based voice software.
