IPG Photonics Expands Sales Force with Two Materials Processing Veterans

IPG Focuses on New Markets and Applications

OXFORD, Mass. -- IPG Photonics Corporation (NASDAQ: IPGP), the global leader in high-performance fiber lasers for diverse applications, today announced the appointment of Dan Eigner as Atlantic Coast Sales Manager, and Tim Webber as Pacific Coast Sales Manager. Both are responsible for field sales and new business development in their respective territories.

"Dan has extensive expertise in both CO2 and YAG lasers, but most impressive is his knowledge in applications development," said Bill Shiner, IPG Photonics' Vice President of Industrial Sales. "These skills make him a tremendous consultative salesperson as well as an excellent addition to the IPG Photonics team."

"Tim brings a wealth of knowledge in the application of high power CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers as well, and has applied this understanding to a broad range of industries including automotive, aerospace, and fabrication," said Shiner. "His experience and breadth of knowledge in this field make Tim a valuable asset to our sales department."

Mr. Eigner has more than 20 years of experience in the laser field. Prior to joining IPG, he served as Northeast Sales Manager at Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc. He also worked for companies in the industry such as Hobart Laser Products, Inc. and United Technologies Industrial Lasers. Mr. Eigner will operate out of IPG's world headquarters in Oxford, Massachusetts.

Mr. Webber also comes to IPG with 20 years of experience in the laser field. He was previously at TRUMPF Inc., where he was West Coast Sales Manager. Prior to TRUMPF, Mr. Webber worked for Martek/Hobart Laser Products, Inc. and Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc. Mr. Webber will be based out of the San Francisco Bay area.
