URS Awarded Air Force Contract to Provide Support Services for C-26 Aircraft

SAN FRANCISCO -- URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that its EG&G Division has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to provide Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the C-26B Aircraft for the Army National Guard and the RC-26B for the Air National Guard. The contract has an initial six-month base period, followed by nine, one-year option periods. Assuming all option years are exercised, the maximum value of the contract to URS is $148 million.
Under the terms of the contract, EG&G will provide maintenance and repair services for 11 Air National Guard and 11 Army National Guard C-26 aircraft, including support services for aircraft intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems. The work will be performed at 20 sites in the United States.
Commenting on the contract award, Randall A. Through the EG&G Division, URS has long experience providing these services for military ground and aviation systems, including C-130 and T-38 aircraft, as well as related logistical support.
