PRIMEDIA Appoints Bryan Robb and Robert Klein to Automotive Digital Sales Team

NEW YORK -- PRIMEDIA (NYSE: PRM), the country's leading targeted media company, today announced that Bryan Robb (40) and Robert Klein (35) will serve as west coast digital sales manager and east coast digital sales director respectively for PRIMEDIA Automotive Digital, the company's portfolio of leading automotive Web sites. Mr. Robb and Mr. Klein will report to Dan Mauch, vice president for ad sales of PRIMEDIA Automotive Digital.
"Bryan and Rob have extensive backgrounds as sales and marketing leaders in both traditional media and Web 2.0 environments, and will serve as valuable assets to PRIMEDIA's Automotive Digital group," said Mauch. "We will look to them to provide insights, strategic thinking and effective leadership as we seek to spur growth among endemic and non-endemic advertisers."
Mr. Robb and Mr. Klein, who have a collective twenty-five years of experience in advertising sales, will play an instrumental role in cementing PRIMEDIA's online auto properties as the leading network for advertisers to connect with auto enthusiasts and in-market buyers. Among their key responsibilities will be further cultivating relationships with aftermarket advertisers and non-endemic brands.
Most recently, Mr. Robb was owner and president of Optik Marketing Solutions, which provides technological solutions and marketing services to the automotive industry. Prior to his tenure with Optik Marketing, Robb was vice president of sales for the Edelbrock Corporation and a director for IStarSystems between 2000 to 2001.
Until joining PRIMEDIA, Mr. Klein served as vice president for Village Voice Media, where he helped implement the company's digital strategy. In 1999, Mr. Klein served as vice president of advertising sales at About, Inc. Prior to that, Klein held various positions within the traditional media and Internet businesses, including CNBC and the A&E Networks. He also served as a national broadcast buyer at McCann Erickson.
Mr. Robb will be based in PRIMEDIA's Irvine, California offices, while Mr. Klein will work out of PRIMEDIA's corporate offices on New York City's Madison Avenue.
