Vignette and HP to Deliver More Complete Information Lifecycle Management Solutions
Business Wire, May 21, 2007
AUSTIN, Texas -- As part of its expanded global alliance program, Vignette (NASDAQ: VIGN) today announced it is working with HP to deliver more complete Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solutions. Vignette's Imaging and Workflow solution provides the business process management platform to handle content captured by HP scanners and multi-function printers. For joint customers, Vignette manages the workflow process as the content moves through HP tiered storage and archival solutions and is eventually delivered to the end-user or destroyed.
Vignette's Imaging and Workflow solution enables organizations to move business content from physical to digital formats at high transaction volumes. The solution also provides back-end business process management to automate the processes that affect the content lifecycle. HP ILM customers like Fallon Clinic, Massachusetts rely on Vignette to ensure sensitive documents such as patient records can be easily digitized, stored, retrieved and delivered to physicians.
"Vignette provides us with a management and workflow process for our electronic medical records," said Susan Paul, director of IT infrastructure at Fallon Clinic. "The integration between Vignette and HP's imaging and printing, storage and server solutions helps ensure our most important documents are secure and accessible, significantly improving the efficiency of the clinic and keeping us HIPAA compliant."
"Vignette and HP have a rich history of delivering enterprise-class solutions that enable organizations to gain the greatest value from their business content," said Cathie Frazzini, vice president of partners and channels at Vignette. "We look forward to continuing and expanding our existing relationship with HP to offer joint customers superior ILM solutions."
"HP's ILM portfolio combines the best of HP server, storage, printing devices, software technologies and services with industry-leading solutions from partners like Vignette to enable customers to capture, manage, retain, and deliver information throughout its lifecycle," said Suzanne Prince, director of ILM solutions at HP. "Vignette's Imaging and Workflow solution helps ensure strategic business content is secure, properly managed and accessible in accordance with regulatory requirements and everyday business demands."
