Army to Bring BLACK HAWK Helicopters to Dallas Facility

WHAT: Army Lt. Col. Michael Gawkins and soldiers from Fort Hood will
meet with Vought Aircraft Industries employees who build the
cabin structures for BLACK HAWK helicopters at the company's
Jefferson Street facility. Soldiers will arrive at Vought's
headquarters on BLACK HAWK helicopters to provide employees an
up-close view of the world's standard for medium-lift utility
helicopters. In addition to Lt. Col. Gawkins, Chris Gould,
Vought's Director of Rotor Craft programs and Richard Hill,
the General Manager of the Jefferson Street facility will
speak at the event and be available for questions immediately
        following.

Gawkins commands the 3rd Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment,
Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, stationed at
Fort Hood, Texas. The brigade returned from Iraq at the end of
2006. While deployed, the CAB was charged with transporting
soldiers, equipment and supplies across the country.

The BLACK HAWK'S ruggedness and multi-mission flexibility have
made it the first choice for military operations worldwide.
Currently, BLACK HAWK helicopter derivatives serve in 27
governments around the world in a diverse range of missions
such as combat, peacekeeping, border patrol, drug
interdiction, disaster relief and medical evacuation.
Wednesday's event is in recognition of the important
partnership that Vought and Sikorsky have formed to develop
this battle-tested helicopter and in appreciation of the
        service of our nation's soldiers.
