Acquisition of Workplace Architects' Assets Adds Quest Development Studio for SharePoint to Growing SharePoint Product Arsenal

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:QSFT) today announced its entry into Microsoft SharePoint application development with Quest Development Studio for SharePoint (formerly Workplace Architects Developer Suite). The newest addition to Quest's SharePoint solutions is the result of Quest's recent acquisition of Workplace Architects' assets.

"We have used Quest Development Studio as a key enabler to allow SharePoint users to view, aggregate and relate data and content across sites, site collections and web applications," said John Ackery, director, Devworkz. "This powerful tool allows non-developers to quickly build dynamic applications on the fly at a fraction of the normal cost. Any organization that is serious about taking advantage of SharePoint needs to consider Development Studio for SharePoint over custom development." Devworkz, based in Sydney, Australia, provides and supports a portfolio of business solutions and expertise for Microsoft SharePoint.

Development Studio for SharePoint makes SharePoint data readily available to employees by building applications in SharePoint with configurable Web parts. The drag-drop-configure Web parts technology allows these customized applications to be built and maintained by business analysts, dramatically reducing development costs and creating a better integrated collaboration environment for users.

"This addition to our product portfolio demonstrates Quest's continuing commitment to the SharePoint platform," said David Waugh, vice president, SharePoint Solutions, Quest Software. "We're always looking for the next great innovative technology, and the people and products of Workplace Architects are a great fit."

In 2006, the company introduced Quest Site Administrator for SharePoint, Quest Public Folder Migrator for SharePoint, Quest Recovery Manager for SharePoint and Quest Discovery Wizard for SharePoint freeware. All of these products now support Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services v3.
