Telesoft Introduces IT Asset Management
Business Wire, May 22, 2007
PHOENIX -- Telesoft Corporation, a leading provider of Telecom Expense Management (TEM) solutions, is announcing the ability to track all aspects of information technology with a new product line focused around Information Technology/Telecom Expense Management (ITEM). While traditional Asset Management in the telecom sector revolved around tracking phones, calling cards, and available ports, ITEM will allow companies to track any aspect of IT from maintenance contracts and lease expirations to physical desktop/laptop computers.
"Combined telecom and IT Expense Management is every organization's responsibility," stated Ron Babich, Director of Sales and Marketing. "It used to be that telecom and IT were two totally separate entities. However, as we have seen over the past 2-3 years with VoIP convergence, they have become one in the same."
ITEM allows users to track all IT assets and is completely customizable to each organization. The system even goes as far as tracking a company's electricity bills and validating these bills on a consistent basis to make sure that the bills are anomaly free.
"ITEM allows a company to further streamline their telecom and IT operations increasing operating efficiency and most importantly, increasing the bottom line," Babich said.
