Membership Enables Network-centric Operations Within and Between All Levels of Government
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- To support growing demand within the military intelligence community for its real-time object database management solutions for complex inter-related data, Objectivity, Inc. today announces it has joined the Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium (NCOIC), a non-profit international organization dedicated to accelerating the introduction of a common, industry-wide technical infrastructure for network-centric operations. The consortium is working to enable open standards and interoperability in systems that serve joint, interagency, and multi-national users.
The NCOIC
The NCOIC--comprised of leaders in the aerospace, defense, information technology, large-scale integrator and services industries as well as government entities--is working to enable network-centric operations within and between all levels of government. The global consortium works with companies and government agencies from around the world to define a set of tools and standards that will enable the development of network centric capabilities and enabling products.
"Joining the NCOIC was an obvious next step for us as we develop enabling database management systems for the builders of mission-critical systems," said Rich Shelley, vice president of worldwide sales at Objectivity, Inc. "As these systems become increasingly net-centric, we expect to both contribute heavily to, and gain a great deal of valuable information from, NCOIC participation."
Most recently, the NCOIC announced the availability of its next set of network-centric operations interoperability deliverables-its first Protocol Functional Collection (PFC) and its Mobile Emergency Communications Interoperability (MECI) report. The Consortium is establishing the technical approaches that will support interoperability across all levels of government departments, from first responders and local authorities to regional- and national-level military services. The NCOIC's approach complements major international government and industry architectural and reference model initiatives.
"We are very pleased to add Objectivity, Inc. to our membership and look forward to the contributions their team can make in our efforts," said Dr. Kevin J. Reardon, executive director of the NCOIC. "It's no secret that some of the most advanced systems today were not designed to be interoperable. Objectivity's insights and experiences in enabling interoperable systems will be invaluable."

Objectivity/DB([R] )Data Fusion Repository Platform
The international focus on crime and terrorism has placed unprecedented demands on government agencies tasked with developing or acquiring software applications to ingest and manage massive amounts of intelligence data. The power of Objectivity's flagship data fusion repository platform, Objectivity/DB, provides software innovators working on advanced Multi-INT software applications to manage highly dimensional and subtly related data making it more accessible to the exploitation process. Objectivity/DB enables applications to fuse, correlate and analyze data from multiple sources originating as real time feeds from legacy silos into one common view. This unique ability enables analysts to search and discover patterns through large and subtle data sets allowing them to construct and evaluate scenarios and achieve more effective levels of actionable intelligence.
About Objectivity, Inc.
Objectivity, Inc. is a global technology leader in data management products and services for software applications with the most demanding data management challenges. The company's flagship product, Objectivity/DB([R]) is the leading object oriented data management (ODBMS) platform for the real-time management of complex inter-related data. Objectivity/DB is recognized for its ability to store and manage very large volumes of complex data for event and relationship processing within mission-critical applications. These applications are developed by ISVs, OEMs and end-users in Government Intelligence and the Military, process control, medical and telecommunications equipment and financial services. Objectivity/DB enables organizations to monitor, analyze and respond by identifying inter-relationships or anomalies providing real-time intelligence for predictive analysis and decision support.
