Business Wire, May 29, 2007

Events in London, Edinburgh, and Manchester Focus on the IT Service Catalogue and ITIL V3

FOSTER CITY, Calif. & READING, England -- newScale([R]), Inc., the market leader in IT Service Catalogue and Service Portfolio Management software solutions, and Pink Elephant, global leader in IT Service Management, today announced a series of ITIL seminars in the United Kingdom. These briefings provide an ITIL Version 3 (V3) update with a focus on the Service Catalogue as a cornerstone for IT Service Management, including new concepts and processes such as Service Portfolio Management, Service Catalogue Management, and Request Fulfillment.

The launch of ITIL V3 and the new lifecycle approach to Service Management sees the Service Catalogue appear as a process in its own right - affording it the level of importance already reflected by interest among ITIL practitioners. As authors of one of V3's new core volumes, Continual Service Improvement, Pink Elephant teamed up with newScale to mark the ITIL V3 launch and to introduce their joint book, Defining IT Success Through The Service Catalogue, into the U.K. Copies of the book are available from the publisher at: http://www.vanharen.net/product_info.php?products_id=303.

Rodrigo Flores, newScale CTO and the book's co-author with Pink Elephant's Troy DuMoulin, will present some of the practical guidance provided in this new Service Catalogue book. Together with Mark Lindsay, Director of Operations for newScale Europe, Rodrigo will lead a session focused on real-world example Service Catalogues in production today and adopted by leading global corporations. John Stephenson, Service Delivery Director for Pink Elephant Europe, will deliver an update on the new ITIL V3 books and processes.

The Service Catalogue and ITIL V3 seminars are being held in three cities this week, coinciding with the scheduled release of the new ITIL V3 books. Each seminar will be held from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on the following dates:

* London, Wednesday 30th May, 2007

* Edinburgh, Thursday 31st May, 2007

* Manchester, Friday 1st June, 2007
