This version provides seats for four passengers, or the additional space can be utilized to carry gear or auxiliary equipment. The wheelbase has been extended by 28 inches to 130 inches and detachable side doors have been included in the design. The first prototype of the vehicle is currently being assembled at the ROI R&D plant in Henderson, Nevada and is scheduled for field testing within the next 60 days.
"This RTV has been designed for the needs of rapid response providers," stated Pat Stimpson, marketing consultant to ROI. "Fire fighters and law enforcement officers who work in off-road, rough terrain environments have told us that they need a vehicle with the 'go anywhere' capabilities of the Rhino RTV - but need more capacity to carry special equipment and additional personnel - the RR-RTV4 is a great solution."
