Latest Release of Top Ranked Product Suite Takes Center Stage at the Japanese Business Integration Forum
TOKYO -- webMethods, Inc. (Nasdaq:WEBM), a leading business integration and optimization software company, today announced the immediate availability of the Japanese language edition of the webMethods Fabric[TM] v.7.0 product suite. The formal introduction took place today at the Japanese Business Integration Forum, a webMethods-hosted conference bringing together senior business and IT executives to share best practices for business process integration.
"Enterprises within Japan have long committed themselves to process excellence. As a result, we've already seen significant interest in the breakthrough capabilities offered by our latest release," says Andy Wilkinson, senior vice president and general manager of the Asia/Pacific and Japan region, webMethods, Inc. "Specifically, webMethods Fabric 7 offers enterprises a single platform for integrating, automating and improving their most critical business processes. By deploying these capabilities within the context of a service-oriented architecture, we can also accelerate the delivery of new applications to the business while facilitating expanded reuse as a cost-saving alternative to custom development."
webMethods Fabric 7 is highlighted by the introduction of webMethods BPMS as a full-feature business process management suite (BPMS). Key features include an Eclipse-based process modeling environment for codeless development, extensive support for both human-to-human and system-to-system task flow, integrated business rules management, and a new semantic metadata library. A distinguishing feature of webMethods BPMS is its best-in-class performance monitoring and real-time business analytics, which delivers the ability to automatically baseline and rapidly improve business processes.
webMethods Fabric 7 is also differentiated by the inclusion of two new products - webMethods Infravio X-Registry and webMethods Infravio X-Broker - for lifecycle governance of service-oriented architecture (SOA). The availability of these products as components of the webMethods Fabric product suite further simplifies the reuse of existing services within the business processes being modeled, managed and monitored by webMethods BPMS.
Adds Marc Breissinger, webMethods' chief technology officer, "The Japanese market is a strategic one for webMethods that encompasses more than one hundred enterprises as customers. Reflecting this importance, we've sought their feedback to the specific features of greatest importance to them and have worked to include them in our Japanese release. For example, our investment in localization includes support for the translation of double-byte characters, which further improves the usability of our products."
webMethods held its fifth annual meeting of Japanese customers today in Tokyo. During the Japanese Business Integration Forum, customers had the chance to hear from webMethods executives regarding technology's role in improving corporate performance and operational efficiency. In addition, Breissinger unveiled the Japanese edition of webMethods Fabric v. 7.0 during his keynote presentation. Customers themselves took center stage in practitioner-led sessions highlighting emerging strategies and best practices for both SOA and business process management (BPM).
