Attachmate Helps Financial Institutions Manage SOA Implementations Through Fourth Legacy Integration Webcast
Business Wire, May 31, 2007
SEATTLE -- Attachmate Corporation:
WHAT: Attachmate Corporation will host the fourth session of its
seven-part "Unlocking Legacy Applications" webcast series,
aimed at helping organizations increase revenues and reduce
costs by re-using their legacy assets. This session,
"Turning Mainframe Banking and Insurance Applications Into
SOA Assets," will explore how the right set of integration
tools can help banks and insurance companies transform their
aging legacy financial applications into a robust foundation
for an SOA platform.
Most financial institutions today rely on mainframe
applications for high-volume, high-availability transaction
processing, but these same applications pose a virtual
roadblock to SOA implementation. In this session, Attachmate
will discuss how organizations can easily overcome this
roadblock by converting financial applications to reusable
services which are the building blocks of every SOA
platform. Specifically, this session will focus on how banks
and insurance institutions using mainframes can easily build
an SOA platform by exposing business processes as reusable
web services, XML, JavaBeans and .NET components.
WHEN: 11:00 a.m. PDT/2:00 p.m. EDT, June 6, 2007 and
