OSIsoft and SL Corporation Partner to Deliver Java-based Real-time Visualization of PI System Data
Business Wire, May 7, 2007
CORTE MADERA, Calif. -- OSIsoft, Inc., developer of the PI System, the industry standard in enterprise historians and SL Corporation, a leading provider of open business information delivery platform solutions that empower decision makers with mission-critical information, today announced that they are partnering to offer SL's Java-based, real-time dashboard and monitoring solution to PI System customers.
The partnership fills a key need for PI System customers that want a customizable Java solution to expose PI data via Java application servers running on UNIX and Linux servers.
SL's Enterprise RTView[TM] solution is a flexible real-time information delivery platform that enables users to quickly design and deploy custom dashboards, alerts, and reports. It connects directly with data from almost any enterprise data source, including the PI System. The partnership extends the value of OSIsoft's release of the High Availability PI System, which enhances the real-time functionality of the PI System by enabling access to data during scheduled and unscheduled down times without requiring special hardware or clustered environments.
"This partnership offers PI System customers a high-value, customizable solution to our customers who want to drive PI data to UNIX servers," said Patricia Garner, director of channel sales at OSIsoft. "By partnering with SL, we can jointly deliver a rapid approach for building dashboards and accelerating the decision making process." SL has a long track record of providing successful real-time monitoring solutions to the same customer base as OSIsoft, and that was key in our decision to partner with them."
"SL continues to seek out the leaders and visionaries in mission-critical, real-time business applications who see the clear value in partnering to deliver real-time dashboards and monitoring to their users," said Rodney Morrison, VP of Product Management of SL Corporation. "OSIsoft customers can use our Enterprise RTView platform to design and deploy custom, Java-based monitoring applications for the PI System--as well as other enterprise applications--with little or no programming. It's that simple."
