Mesaba Airlines Reports Capacity and Traffic for April 2007

MINNEAPOLIS & ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Mesaba Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northwest Airlines Corporation, today reported capacity and traffic for April. Mesaba Airlines flew 71.2 million available seat miles (ASMs) in April, which was down 60.9% year over year. Mesaba carried 193,327 passengers in the month, which was down 47.8% year over year generating 43.3 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs). Passenger load factor, representing capacity filled, decreased 10.4 points year over year to 60.8%.

Mesaba, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, operates as a Northwest Airlink partner under service agreements with Northwest Airlines. The airline serves 72 cities in the United States and Canada from Northwest's three major hubs: Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Memphis. Mesaba operates an advanced fleet of regional jet and jet-prop aircraft, consisting of the 34 passenger Saab SF340 and the 50-passenger Canadair Regional jet.
