New Satellite Models to Provide High-End Performance at Mainstream Prices; Qosmio G45 to Deliver Ultimate High-Definition Multimedia Experience
IRVINE, Calif. -- Toshiba's Digital Product Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced that three of its consumer notebook computers, the Satellite([TM]) P205, Satellite([TM]) A205 and Qosmio([TM]) G45 will be the company's first mobile solutions to incorporate the latest Intel([R]) Centrino([R]) Duo processor technology in consumer notebooks.
The Satellite P205 and Satellite A205 are the perfect blend of form and function, and provide an unrivaled user-experience within their respective classes. With the upcoming Qosmio G45, Toshiba aims to build upon the long success of the Qosmio series, which sets the standard among multimedia notebooks. The Qosmio G45 notebook computer will harness the full power of the Intel([R]) Centrino([R]) Duo processor technology to deliver the ultimate high-definition multimedia experience, both at home and on the road.
"From a performance standpoint, the Satellite P205, Satellite A205 and Qosmio G45 each provide a phenomenal user experience," said Jeff Barney, vice president of marketing, Digital Products Division, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. "And with the added benefits that Intel's new processor technology provides coupled with Toshiba's own mobile innovation, our users will be rewarded with an unsurpassed mobile computing experience."
Intel([R]) Centrino([R]) Duo processing technology is the fourth generation of the Intel([R]) Centrino([R]) processor mobile technology and consists of four primary components including the Intel([R]) Core([TM]) 2 Duo Processor, the Mobile Intel([R]) 965 chipset, new Intel([R]) Wireless Wi-Fi([R]) Link 4965AGN supporting draft 802.11n wireless connectivity and Intel([R]) Turbo Memory technology, which provides a speed boost to Windows Vista.
Pricing, availability, specific model number and configuration for each Toshiba consumer notebook equipped with Intel([R]) Centrino([R]) Duo processing technology will be announced during the third quarter of 2007.
All new Toshiba notebooks are RoHS-compatible, effectively reducing the environmental impact by restricting the use of lead, mercury and certain other hazardous substances. Toshiba also offers a computer trade-in and recycling program to reduce environmental impact and promote efficient utilization of resources.
