NetBooks® Integrates UPS Online Shipping Tools Into Its On-Demand Business Management System for True Small Businesses
Business Wire, Nov 1, 2007
Point-and-Click Functionality Grants More "Big Business" Capabilities: Increasing Productivity and Efficiency While Reducing Costly Errors
ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- NetBooks[R] Inc. (www.netbooks.com) today announced the integration of UPS Online Shipping tools into its small business management system. NetBooks is the leading provider of on-demand solutions for running a True Small Business (TSB), and now empowers its customers with point-and-click access to the global supply chain services of the world's largest package delivery company -- at no additional cost.
NetBooks provides TSBs an affordable and easy-to-use business management system of the caliber previously available only to the enterprise; increasing their competitive advantage and enhancing profitability. Its core capabilities include sales management, customer relationship management, vendor relationship management, inventory and production management, shipping, bookkeeping, reporting, and more. NetBooks also provides its users related support services from leading partners. Recent partnerships with PayCycle([R]) and VerticalResponse, Inc. integrate payroll and direct email marketing service and analytics capabilities.
Integrating UPS shipping functionality into NetBooks increases productivity and efficiency, allowing NetBooks customers to process more orders in a day. They can now charge the appropriate shipping and handling charges for every order, obtain a UPS tracking number, print shipping labels, schedule a pickup, and track the status of a shipment in progress -- all from within the NetBooks system.
This not only increases productivity, it also reduces costly errors, like under-charging for shipping, failing to include handling costs, or sending a shipment and then failing to invoice for it. The built-in workflows of the NetBooks system keep shipping and billing tightly coordinated.
Because NetBooks is web-based, it can be deployed without IT expertise, and accessed from any PC or Mac with a web connection.
"By integrating UPS functionality directly into NetBooks, we give our customers an unbroken chain of accountability from procurement all the way to their customers' hands," said Ridgely Evers, CEO and founder of NetBooks and a small business owner for more than 30 years. "Now even the smallest companies can ship more orders, with less effort and fewer errors."
"My company only has a few employees, but NetBooks helps me run with the level of precision and productivity you'd expect from a much bigger company," said Paul Rosen, owner of Paromi Teas (www.paromi.com). "I chose NetBooks because it let me get my arms around my whole business. The continuous product enhancements, delivered without disruption or any added cost, have really validated this decision."
The cost of shipping with UPS remains the responsibility of the business, but the addition of UPS integration does not increase the cost of NetBooks, priced at $200/month for up to five users, plus a bookkeeper and an accountant. Additional users cost just $20/month each. Support is included, along with all current and future product functionality (with the exception of optional fees for services provided by partners). Customers can choose between quarterly and annual billing options.
NetBooks guarantees this price for the duration of the customer relationship. If NetBooks increases its pricing, existing customers continue to pay the old price. If NetBooks decreases its pricing, all customers automatically get the new, lower price.
