Apollo Group Appoints Allyson Pooley Vice President, Investor Relations

PHOENIX -- Apollo Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:APOL) announced the appointment of Allyson Pooley as Vice President, Investor Relations, effective today.
Ms. Pooley brings to Apollo over 15 years of financial, investment and investor relations experience. Most recently, she spent three years with Integrated Corporate Relations, Inc. (ICR), a leading financial communications consulting firm specializing in investor relations. In her most recent position as Managing Director, Ms. Pooley oversaw all aspects of financial communications for several publicly traded companies. Ms. Pooley has served as a consultant to Apollo Group since January of 2006.
Prior to joining ICR, Ms. Pooley was a Vice President in institutional sales at Merrill Lynch. Before Merrill, she worked as an analyst and portfolio manager at UBS O'Connor, where her areas of expertise included wireline and wireless telecommunications equipment, data networking, software and internet companies. Ms. Pooley began her career in the investment industry as a research analyst at ABN AMRO.

Ms. Pooley graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California.
