Noetix Introduces Noetix Generator 2.0 for Cognos 8 BI; Increasing Integration Between Oracle E-Business Suite and Cognos 8 BI
Business Wire, Nov 12, 2007
Noetix Generator has received significant customer interest since Spring 2007 introduction
REDMOND, Wash. -- Noetix([R]) Corp., a software provider that automatically generates business intelligence (BI) content from enterprise applications, today introduced Noetix Generator 2.0 for Cognos 8 Business Intelligence. This solution will significantly increase the amount of Oracle content that comes 'out-of-the-box' with Cognos 8 BI, making it easier for business users to create their own reports without additional assistance from IT.
"Since introducing Noetix Generator for Cognos 8 BI earlier this year, we have seen significant momentum from customers who report that the solution has greatly increased their level of business insight into their Oracle E-Business Suite implementation," said Noetix CEO Morris Beton. "Noetix Generator accelerates the deployment of BI initiatives by up to 90 percent, delivering an exceptionally high return on investment."
Many Oracle customers use Cognos 8 BI to access their Oracle E-Business Suite application data. Cognos 8 BI helps companies drive higher performance from their Oracle platform by making information easier to access for reporting and business analysis.
Noetix Generator for Cognos 8 BI provides the tools and technology that tightly link the Cognos solution with the operational information found within the Oracle E-Business Suite. New features accompanying version 2.0 include a query and associated metadata capability that presents information from a view to answer common business questions (i.e., 'How many packages did I ship from each warehouse last month?'), making it faster and easier to roll out end user reporting to Cognos 8 BI users.
In addition, version 2.0 enables customers to easily set up internal company reports with the organization's own look and feel, including adding the company's logo, shading report headers with company colors, or adding standard confidentiality/disclaimer notes on all reports at once.
"NoetixGenerator for Cognos 8 BI ensures Cognos' leading business intelligence solution integrates seamlessly with Oracle databases, gateways, and applications, helping organizations make better decisions by improving visibility of all their data, helping them discover hidden relationships, spot key trends, and easily disseminate reports," said Jennifer Francis, vice president of market development, Cognos. "Noetix Generator for Cognos 8 BI offers Cognos customers a clear competitive advantage in the marketplace."
Noetix Generator 2.0 for Cognos 8 BI will be generally available in December 2007. For more information, visit www.noetix.com.
