Avada Software Collaborates with IBM to offer Turnkey WebSphere Messaging Management Portal
Business Wire, Nov 12, 2007
BOSTON -- Avada Software, an innovative provider of Messaging Management solutions for WebSphere[R] MQ (WMQ), Broker (WBI), and JMS, today announced it has collaborated with IBM to release its latest version of the Infrared360[TM] Management Portal (MP) with the IBM Express Runtime product. The package enables customers to quickly create both the Infrared360[TM] Management Portal and full platform environment with a single installation. IBM Express Runtime contains WebSphere Application Server Express version 6.1 and DB2 Express version 9, the preferred application server and database environments for Infrared360[TM].
"Avada Software has built its solution to run seamlessly with the latest IBM application platforms," said IBM Vice President of Mid-market Solutions, Chris Wicher. "Along with their unique SOA interface for triggering services, we feel they are a great fit for the IBM Express offerings."
"We are very excited about this collaboration," said Peter D'Agosta, C.O.O of Avada Software. "Our customer base relies on the secure transport of WebSphere MQ and JMS based messaging middleware for critical information. It's a natural evolution that the customer's messaging management platform runs as a typical web application on the WebSphere platform. Avada Software has done just that in architecting Infrared360[TM]. We've taken yet another leap forward by building simple SOA interfaces into Infrared360[TM] so that our customers can leverage other services and applications within their infrastructure to support their mission critical middleware. This is all done with an eye towards ease of use, ease of deployment, and ease of maintenance."
"Since converting to Infrared360[TM], we have been impressed with the flexibility of the architecture and the performance we have experienced. Infrared360[TM] is faster and easier to use than our previous MQ monitoring software," said Hagemeyer, a customer of both IBM and Avada Software.
The Infrared360[TM] Management Portal is a J2EE compliant, agentless technology for the IBM WebSphere[R] MQ family of products and JMS based messaging infrastructures. Infrared360[TM] MP version 2.5 enables organizations to take control of management requirements within their enterprise messaging infrastructure without the need to deploy and update agent software on every managed platform. Infrared360[TM] MP allows companies to logically view different parts of their middleware environment and delegate responsibility directly to business units for remote administration, real time monitoring, message testing, scheduling, auditing, and reporting.
