Jeff Zeigler to Address the Importance of Responsible IT Asset Recovery Processes to Prevent Dumping of Hazardous e-Waste
AUSTIN, Texas -- TechTurn, a trusted leader in technology recovery, refurbishing and resale, today announced that CEO Jeff Zeigler will be participating in a panel at the Ernst & Young Cleantech Symposium on November 14, 2007. The panel is focused on the expectations of green corporate customers, and Zeigler will discuss the importance of responsible IT asset recovery, which includes secure data sanitization, refurbishment and resale as a way to extend the life of technology.
Clean technology companies face unique, industry specific challenges in their partnering, financing and growth activities. The Ernst & Young Cleantech Symposium is a networking event to address the needs of company executives evaluating Cleantech opportunities, both on the supply side (energy producers & distribution) and the demand side (energy efficiency, energy management). Participation is targeted at Cleantech stakeholders to facilitate peer-to-peer dialog and networking.
"Proper IT asset recovery and refurbishment is not only one of the most important things companies can do to protect the environment, but it provides a critical secondary market of affordable technology for those who need it," said Jeff Zeigler. "The Ernst & Young Cleantech Symposium is a great opportunity for innovative green technology companies to get together and share ideas on creative business models that encourage corporate social responsibility."
Zeigler will be joined on the panel by executives from Sempra Energy, Chevron Energy Solutions and Carmanah. The panel, titled "The Green Corporate Customer," is scheduled for 2:15 pm PST, Wednesday, November 14, at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, California.
