ZenZui, Fring, RedSky, CellTrust and Other Major Mobile Players Announce News at the First Day of Mobile Internet World

BOSTON -- Yesterday kicked off Mobile Internet World, the industry's first conference focused on the future of the mobile Internet and how to profit from it. Several mobile companies announced important news at the first day's sessions.

Highlights of the news include:

Fring, a free mobile VoIP application that enables free mobile internet calls and live chat to other 'fringsters' and PC-based services including Skype[R], Google Talk[TM], ICQ, MSN[R] Messenger and Twitter, using free Wi-Fi or your 3G or GPRS internet data plan, announced today a suite of exciting product developments that will put its freedom positioning at the centre of the user experience, and further enhance the ability for users and their communities to interact and share with each other whilst on the move.

RedSky, which delivers E911 software solutions to large enterprises and government facilities, announced that they have joined the BEA Partner Program which will allow RedSky to utilize the BEA WebLogic SIP Server as the platform framework for the RedSky Location Information Server (LIS), which delivers location-based services such as enhanced 911 (E911). RedSky LIS technology enables the promise of the mobile broadband Internet, while providing the capabilities required to migrate essential features, like emergency calling, from the traditional telephony world to the "anywhere" world of IP. The RedSky LIS represents the next essential step in providing basic, context-aware location services to the emerging Web 2.0 world.

ZenZui, a Seattle-based company announced today that it has changed its name to Zumobi. The new brand, Zumobi explained, better reflects the company's flagship Zooming User Interface and mobile platform business.

CellTrust Corporation announced the immediate availability of its Secure SMS Module, a component of its 2-way SMS Gateway offering, which allows the secure exchange of commercial and personal "text message" data via the mobile phone.

InfoGin, a leading pioneer in the field of Web-to-mobile content adaptation solutions, released the next version of its Intelligent Mobile Platform[TM] (IMP[TM]), the company's patented server-based middleware platform that supports all mobile browsers, languages and advanced Web page features.
