Chipset Recognized With Innovations Award From the Consumer Electronics Association and Also Named Hot Company Finalist for 2008
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Tzero Technologies, the leader in ultra wideband for video distribution, today announced that the company and its ZeroWire TZC7200 chipset have been recognized with two prestigious awards. The company's ultra wideband semiconductor solution was honored with an International CES Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Award. Also, Tzero was named a Hot Company Finalist by Silicon Valley Communications, organizers of the Technosium Conference and Expo.
"These awards further validate Tzero's approach to the market and innovative nature of our product line," said Rajeev Krishnamoorthy, founder and CEO of Tzero Technologies. "Our unique ability to deliver products that can provide high-definition video both over existing wires -- and wirelessly -- is driving adoption. We expect UWB to evolve into the industry standard for whole-home entertainment networking."
The ZeroWire chipset was recognized by the Consumer Electronics Association in the Enabling Technologies category. Products entered in this program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade press to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics products.
Tzero's ZeroWire chipset is optimized for wireless and wired networking of entertainment content around the home. The ZeroWire chipset enables service providers to create devices and networks for distributing entertainment content throughout the entire home using existing coax cable. The chipset also gives consumer electronics manufacturers the ability to create new classes of wireless video products -- HDTVs, digital video recorders and more -- that are easier and less expensive to install.
Tzero was also selected as a Hot Company Finalist through a global industry analysis of information technology vendors which included established large companies, mid-size and new start-ups around the world. According to Silicon Valley Communications, Tzero has advanced to the finalists stage based on the "4Ps" selection criteria -- namely Products, People, Performance, and Potential. The coveted 2008 Hot Companies analysis encompasses companies in all areas of information technologies including security, wireless, storage, networking, software and communications. The Hot Companies winners will be announced and honored at the 2008 "Executive Leadership Summit" hosted by Technosium 2008 (http://www.technosium.com) at the Santa Clara Convention Center January 27-29, 2008.
