BOISE, Idaho -- Micron Technology, Inc. (NYSE:MU), today announced that its one gigabit (GB) double data rate DDR2 memory components are qualified for use with the Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) new AMD Phenom[TM] quad-core processors, targeting data-intensive, high-end computing applications. The faster speeds of Micron's new DDR2-1066 memory technology combined with the multi-core performance of the new AMD Phenom processors can increase user productivity for today's most demanding applications.

The DDR2-1066 components are produced on Micron's industry-leading 78-nanometer 6F2 process and operate at the JEDEC standard 1.8-volts. The 1 GB component density allows for modules in densities ranging from 512 megabytes to 2 GB.
