Bank of Florida - Southeast Relocates Downtown Fort Lauderdale Headquarters
Business Wire, Nov 19, 2007
Bank of Florida Center at 200 SW 1st Avenue
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Bank of Florida - Southeast (NASDAQ:BOFL), a $463 million asset bank headquartered in Broward County, announces the opening of its new Southeast Florida headquarters in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The bank (www.bankofflorida.com) is the signature tenant of a new 17-story, mixed-use building -- to be named the "Bank of Florida Center" at a ceremony next month -- that is located in the historic arts and entertainment district.
The ground floor of the new location features a full-service financial center equipped with a street-side walk-up ATM machine, safe deposit boxes, teller line and private banking offices. The top floor will house executive offices, commercial lending, wealth management, mortgage lending and a variety of support functions for the growing bank. The bank will lease nearly 24,000 square feet of space in the "Old Chicago" style building.
"Our new financial center in the heart of the downtown district will allow us to better serve the business banking needs of many nearby professionals and companies," said John Chaperon, President and CEO for Bank of Florida - Southeast and a 40-year veteran of South Florida's banking industry. "We are committed to local decision-making from our bankers who know the marketplace, value relationships, and exceed expectations, making us a bank of choice instead of a bank of destination."
Bank of Florida - Southeast opened its first financial center in Fort Lauderdale in 2002. It currently operates five financial centers in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.
